Dr. Thikriat Al-Jewair serves as the L.B. Badgero Endowed Chair and Graduate Program Director of Orthodontics at the University at Buffalo (UB) School of Dental Medicine. She earned her DDS degree and completed both a certificate and MS degree in Orthodontics from UB. Dr. Al-Jewair currently holds several leadership positions, including serving as a NESO representative to the AAO’s Council on Scientific Affairs, a member of the AAO's Special Committee on Inclusion and Engagement, and a Councilor for the Buffalo Section of the American Association for Dental, Oral, and Craniofacial Research. She has been recognized with numerous awards, including the 2024 Graber Family Biomedical Research and Teaching Award from the AAO Foundation, as well as the 2024 Raymond George Memorial Leadership Award from NESO. With over 140 peer-reviewed publications, abstracts, conference proceedings, and book chapters, her research expertise spans clinical orthodontic treatment outcomes, dental sleep medicine, and evidence-based orthodontics.
